Gunker has a thirst for power and wealth. He has a stubborn head, a fiery temper, and a lack of care about hurting others. He tries to keep his general disdain and disrespect for others under wrap, but it tends to slip out cause he has the need to boss others around.
Despite his roughness, Gunker has a quick, dry wit and a determined mindset that tends to draw select types of people to him. Especially after Operation GUNKSPLAT, Gunker has found himself far more mellowed and regretful about the path he's taken, but he'd do it all over again if he could.
Gunker loves tomato soup as his family lived off it for a long, long time.
Gunker is currently stored in The Complex's light containment sector and is up on the Nexus' slave market.
Gunker Garrison was a poor boy raised by a struggling family. During the Era of The Squeeze, his family was going to lose their apartment. Desperate to make downtrodden parents happy, he broke into nearby stores and sold stolen goods off to nearby gangs. After getting into a scuffle with one of these gangs, Gunker came home to find his father falsely accused of murdering his mother. As the Lawmen raided their home, his prideful father killed himself to avoid going to The Complex and living the rest of his life with a Markcard tax.
A homeless 19 year old Garrison wandered the streets until he ended up employed by the Under The Tower club as a bouncer. He worked a decade of hard work before being discharged for instigating a fight with ex-gang members.
XX802's WALL ACT had been passed shortly before he had been fired, Gunker seeing this as an opportunity to go out to the newly opened Outlands in an attempt to find easy pickings in the new world. Gunker came to the impoverished settlers and offered them jobs raiding nearby Stemrail cargo trains. Using his previous organized crime connections, he planned to sell their findings to the Under the Tower syndicate.
In Gillsway is where he met the ex-Stem Tower scientist, Yank Yenderson. The two of them officially formed the Gunker Gang, named quite humbly after its main man, and began their rail robbing spree. They would hire Outlanders to help them construct a bunker on the edge of the Fungal Plains in exchange for the goods they offered.
XX815 had Gunker Garrison and Yank Yender find Clara Kalstein unconscious near their base, and after some discussion, adopt her as their third permanent member. Using her family's extensive patchwork of Stemrail knowledge, they were able to get much more accurate hits and Gunker's pride and joy, his gang, grew both richer and notorious in the Outlands. They took any and all jobs that they were offered.
A year later, the once sheepish Clara's personality had morphed in an incessant, constant taunting that had gotten on Gunker's nerves. She insulted his parents, unaware of their fate, causing the already irritable Gunker to snap. He was determined to bring her in to Stem Tower cold. Unfortunately, Yank and the Lawmen they were currently fighting got in the way, and she survived.
XX816, almost exactly a year after Clara had escaped, the downsized Gunker Gang stumbled on Lawman Enforcer Fencien looking into a missing person's report in Gillsway. Gunker, despite Yank's protests, took the opportunity and seized her with the plan to ransom her off when the opportunity came.
As Yank expected, Stem Tower didn't take kindly to their ransom and Operation GUNKSPLAT was formed and promptly executed by Blema Von Voldark. Clara descended on the Gunker Gang's Fungal Plains bunker to both settle the score with Gunker and rescue the Lawman Enforcer. After a short fight, Clara lost quite horribly and Gunker fully intended on killing her to send a message to the city. However, a disillusioned Yank had released Fencien. The already tired Gunker was quickly outmatched by Fencien and forced into custody.
He was wheeled off to The Complex. The brute has had a lot of time to reflect and try to find out where it all went wrong. He fully expected to rot in there for the rest of his life.
Yank Yenderson - Co-founder of Gunker Gang. Despite Yank helping Gunker design his combat suit, hire more members, and figure out the Stemrail trains they'd hit, Gunker doesn't fancy him too much. Gunker found Yank's good will annoying as it got in the way of missions. The fact that the old man was unwilling to share Stem Tower secrets that could make the two of them rich rubbed him the wrong way, too.
Eyeguy - His previous employer for when he worked for Under The Tower. Gunker respects the freak's ability to command so strongly despite major physical disfigurement.
Clara Kalstein - Ex-Gunker Gang member. Got sick of her attitude, He doesn't exactly blame her for betraying him back when given the opportunity.
Fencien Armeldia III - She embarrassed him during operation GUNKSPLAT, easily overpowering him despite his clear advantage.
